Why June? Why Now? Why Us.
For a city with as much cultural weight as Asheville, a dedicated June Pride celebration that matches what this community actually is has been missing. We are building it. Asheville Pride Fest is a high-energy, arts-driven, community-built event that takes place in the River Arts District on Saturday, June 27, 2026. This isn't about replacing anything; it’s about making sure Asheville’s voice is part of the larger June chorus, on purpose.
A Manifesto for Change
Pride comes from pennies thrown in the dark at Stonewall—a declaration from people who were finally done shrinking. A penny thrown in rage becomes a symbol, a movement, a month. This is us, here in Asheville, building an inaugural June Pride celebration with our bare hands. We exist because we decided to. On a June day, in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina, we will be so loud about being alive.
June is ours.
